Welcome to Baldur's Gate, a city of ambition and corruption situated at the crossroads of the Sword Coast. You’ve just started your adventuring career, but already find yourself embroiled in a plot that sprawls from the shadows of the lower city to depths so dark they can't be fathomed. The city of Elturiel, Baldur's Gate's twin has vanished, and along with it, Grand Duke Ulder Ravenguard. Without his leadership, the Flaming Fist Mercenaries who police the city are in shambles and predating on the city folk. No-one is safe. And somewhere, somehow, someone profits from all this... But who has constructed this plot? Where has Elturiel gone? And ultimately, to what end? Baldur's Gate: Shadow of the Dead is the first chapter in the official prequel to Baldur's Gate 3, developed with the same documents used by Larian Studios! You can be any species compatible with D&D 2024. Any class or subclass from the 2024 Player's Handbook or other 2024 supplemental material is allowed. The short campaign will last 6 sessions. Each session will run on Saturdays at Geek Retreat, from 18:00 to 21:00, starting January 17th. Advance booking helps us ensure we deliver a campaign tailored to you. The cover price includes a seat at the table in Geek Retreat for 6 games, and compensates your expert gamemaster David for the time and materials required to bring the game to life.
